SURGETRADER PROGRAM UPDATE

When our business model was originally developed, traders who passed an assessment conducted by SurgeTrader LLC in a simulated trading environment were allocated capital to trade a live account under terms of an agreement with a third party. Different companies were used to help separate the assessment phase, which occurred under simulated trading conditions, from the live trading portion, in which actual orders were entered and trades executed. This distinction was based on business and operational considerations, but one objective was to minimize differences in conditions traders experienced between the simulated assessment environment and live trading. After reviewing and evaluating the two components of this model, we determined that the third-party broker, while making best efforts, could not fully replicate live trading conditions in simulation. Consequently, traders could face certain conditions in live trading they did not encounter in simulation. This fact, combined with possible implications and regulatory uncertainty regarding firms providing liquidity for their own trades, resulted in our decision to modify our business model as well as consolidate some of the tradeable assets. We have decided that effective January 1, 2024, all trading will be conducted in a simulated trading environment; however, the payout structure will remain the same. This change will allow the traders to experience identical conditions from the third-party broker both in the evaluation environment and in the virtually funded environment. We believe that this change will give traders a more consistent trading experience without negatively impacting their trading or opportunity to earn a payout.

FUNDED ACCOUNT DISCLAIMER

Hypothetical performance results do not represent actual trading and are generally designed with the benefit of hindsight, which may under- or over-compensate for the impact of certain market factors, including lack of liquidity and price slippage. Furthermore, since hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, no hypothetical performance results can completely account for the impact of certain factors associated with risk, including the ability of the customer or the advisor to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in the face of trading losses.
